Steering Trim Adjustment
Posted by on 19 September 2012 10:41 AM

If your car is pulling to the left or right, it usually means the car alignment is off. Adjusting the steering trim of your RC car is the way to fix this issue. Usually you would want your car to run in a straight line. Here are a few simple steps on how to get things rolling.

When adjusting your car, make sure that it is lifted off of any surface. Put a wooden block, brick or anything really to keep the wheels off the ground and level.

Next, turn on your car transmitter and reciever. Wait til they sync up. Once they are sync'ed properly, turn your wheels left and right to make sure that they are turning properly. Now take a look at your wheels. Compare the front wheels to your back. Are they straight? Are they leaning left/right? If they are, find the trim adjustment switch on your transmitter, and adjust it until the wheels look aligned.

But looks can be decieving. If you want it to be precise, the best thing to do is to do a running test. Place your car on the ground, and run it. If it strays to the left/right, it still has adjustments to be done, and do so accordingly. Once your car is running straight, then your adjustment process is over.
